New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party representative Abhijeet Dipke on Thursday alleged that people were being sent from outside to deliberately disrupt the ongoing student protest at Jantar Mantar.

Speaking to reporters, Dipke claimed the agitation had remained peaceful for nearly a month but incidents of violence began after the movement gained wider attention.

Dipke Alleges Attempt to Incite Violence

Dipke accused individuals linked to the Bharatiya Janata Party of pelting stones and trying to portray CJP protesters as violent.

He further alleged that stones were being brought near the protest site and used by outsiders to create disorder. These claims have not been independently verified, and no immediate response from the BJP or Delhi Police was cited.

CJP Calls Police Action ‘Brutal’

Dipke also criticised the police lathi charge during the protest, describing it as “very brutal.”

He said the organisation would approach the courts against police personnel allegedly involved in the action. According to him, the protest had entered its 34th day, while activist Sonam Wangchuk’s hunger strike had continued for 26 days.

Appeal to Sonam Wangchuk

Despite saying the agitation would continue, Dipke appealed to Wangchuk to end his fast due to concerns about his health. He said the organisation could not risk losing Wangchuk’s life and was repeatedly requesting him to withdraw the hunger strike.

Pradhan’s Resignation ‘Non-Negotiable’

CJP leader Saurav Das reiterated that the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan remained the movement’s central demand.

Das said he had spoken to Wangchuk several times and that both agreed the protest must remain peaceful. He also expressed concern that unidentified elements could infiltrate the movement and trigger violence, leaving peaceful demonstrators to face blame. The CJP maintained that the agitation would continue until its demands were accepted.
