PM Modi Announces Fast-Track Courts for Paper Leak Cases (Img: X)
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday announced that fast-track courts would be established to ensure swift trials and stringent punishment for people involved in examination paper leaks.
The announcement comes amid widespread student protests over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak and growing demands for accountability in the country’s examination system.
In his statement, the Prime Minister said the welfare and future of young people remained the government’s highest priority.

He said those attempting to damage students’ careers through organised paper leaks would not be spared. Modi added that the decision was part of a wider series of measures intended to safeguard students and restore confidence in competitive examinations.
The Prime Minister said instructions had been issued to the concerned authorities and departments to take all necessary steps for establishing the proposed courts.
The fast-track mechanism is expected to prioritise paper leak cases, reduce delays in trials and ensure stricter punishment for those found guilty.
The decision comes as students and members of the Cockroach Janta Party continue demonstrations in Delhi over alleged examination leaks. Protesters have demanded reforms in the testing system and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The government has maintained that investigations are underway and that action has already been taken against suspects. Modi had earlier described paper leaks as a serious national concern and called for the toughest possible punishment for those involved.
Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi has alleged that more than 150 paper leak incidents occurred over the past decade without sufficient convictions. He has also demanded the resignation of the education minister and an apology from the Prime Minister over police action against protesting students.
