Umaria: A youth died on the spot after his motorcycle was hit by a car in Umaria district in Madhya Pradesh on Monday, police said on Monday, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Police sources said the incident occurred near Kamla Nursing Home on the national highway near Birsinghpur Pali police station area, where a car collided with a motorcycle driven by Pooranlal Baiga (30) from Badgaon. The collision resulted in Pooranlal's instant death.

The police have sent the body for post-mortem examination at the Community Health Centre.The car driver fled the scene and efforts are being made to apprehend him.

Police Initiated Investigation

The body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem examination on Monday.

Earlier Accident In Rewa

Earlier on 5 June, a horrific accident occurred in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. A truck loaded with cement sheets overturned on an auto near Sohagi mountain. Seven people were killed on the spot while three others were seriously injured, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Police rushed to the scene and admitted the injured to hospital for treatment. The bodies of the deceased were sent to the morgue for postmortem.

They Went To Prayagraj

According to the information, all the people travelling in the auto were going to Naigadhi in Mauganj district after bathing in the Ganga in Prayagraj.

ASP Vivek Lal Statement

ASP Vivek Lal said that seven people have died in the accident. The deceased are being identified. Investigation is being done to find out whose negligence caused the accident and what is the real reason behind the accident.

Earlier Accident

Last month on 30th May, three members of a family, including an eight-year-old child, lost their lives in Bara village under the Semariya police station area of Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh after being struck by lightning.

The deceased have been identified as Ashish Vasudeva, aged thirty-two, his wife Jyoti Vasudeva, twenty-six, and their son Kishan Vasudeva, aged eight.
