‘Vacate the PM’s Seat’: CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke Urges PM Modi to ‘Become an Influencer’

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke took a jibe at PM Narendra Modi, urging him to "become an influencer" while alleging harassment of student protesters and warning of a larger agitation.

New Delhi: Founder of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), Abhijeet Dipke attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that he looked more like an influencer than the Prime Minister of the country.

The comments were made in wake of the political aftermath following Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation as the Union Education Minister.

"Become an Influencer', Dipke Tells PM Modi

While speaking to reporters after returning to Maharashtra, Dipke mocked the social media activism of the Prime Minister and said that he should take a step back from his current post.

"Modi Ji should become an influencer now. He is doing very well in the role of an influencer. He should leave the post of PM so that someone else can occupy that post," Dipke said.

Alleged Intimidation of Student Protesters

Dipke accused that the student protesters continue to suffer from harassment even after the protests ended. He said that the administration of many states was identifying and harassing the participants of the protests.

He asked the government to stop the intimidation as the public was highly dissatisfied despite the resignation of the previous education minister.

Warning of Fresh Unrest

Dipke claimed that the protest was not against an individual minister but against the government. The agitation could restart if there is any action taken against the students.

"The students are the future of the country and if there is any fresh action on them, it could give rise to an agitation at the national level," Dipke said.

Calls for Taking Action Against Protest Response

The CJP founder further demanded the authorities to take action against those involved in the firing of pellets during the protests in Delhi's Jantar Mantar. He added that the action should be taken against those who took the decision.

Defending the celebration by CJP supporters after Dharmendra Pradhan resigned, Dipke said the volunteers have been protesting against Pradhan for more than a month in tough weather and it is their victory to celebrate.

He also criticized the BJP's felicitation of Pradhan at the Parliament for resigning from the ministerial post and the government's response in handling the paper leak cases.
