Referring to the Hathras incident, Akhilesh Yadav remarked that the circumstances witnessed in 2020 appear to be recurring in 2026. He alleged that the government attempts to cover up every sensitive case and actively obstructs the truth from coming to light.
Allegations Of Fake Encounters
Akhilesh Yadav leveled his sharpest accusations concerning fake encounters. He asserted that an "entire criminal nexus" has been established within the state, through which an image of effective law and order is manufactured via staged encounters.
He alleged that the BJP government resorts to such encounters to cover up its own misdeeds. According to him, such incidents tend to surface whenever the government comes under increased pressure.
Kasganj Incident
Referring to the Kasganj encounter case, the SP chief stated that a woman was allegedly mistreated—an incident that raises serious questions. Commending the victim's bravery, he remarked that she refused to bow down in the face of adversity.
Police Personnel And Society
Akhilesh Yadav observed that when police personnel involved in fake encounters are imprisoned, their families face social humiliation. Terming this a "social encounter," he noted that society begins to view such individuals through a different lens.

According to him, this is a tactic designed to intimidate the people of the state and suppress the truth.
