Dilip Ghosh, one of the BJP’s most prominent leaders in Bengal, has been inducted into the cabinet after playing a major role in expanding the party’s grassroots presence in the state.

A former state BJP president and ex-MP from Medinipur, Ghosh began his journey as a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh pracharak. He is widely credited with strengthening the BJP’s organisation in Bengal over the past decade.

Agnimitra Paul Becomes Lone Woman Minister

Fashion designer-turned-politician Agnimitra Paul is the only woman minister in the new cabinet. She joined the BJP in 2019 and quickly rose through the ranks of the party’s women’s wing and state organisation.

Paul retained her Asansol Dakshin Assembly seat in the latest election. Over the years, she has emerged as one of the BJP’s most visible female leaders in Bengal politics.
