Questions Raised Over Timing of Rebellion

Commenting on the ongoing rebellion within the party, Sinha questioned why dissenting leaders had not voiced similar concerns before elections if they were dissatisfied with the party's direction. He described Mamata Banerjee as an experienced leader who has successfully guided the party through numerous political challenges over the years.

According to Sinha, Mamata’s leadership and political acumen have been central to the party’s growth and survival in difficult times.

Praise for Kalyan Banerjee

The veteran MP also praised Kalyan Banerjee, calling him one of the country's most capable parliamentarians. Sinha highlighted Banerjee’s contributions in Parliament and suggested that recent disagreements involving him and Abhishek Banerjee were more about organisational protocol than ideological differences.

He noted that despite expressing concerns over certain developments within the party, Kalyan Banerjee has consistently maintained his loyalty to Mamata Banerjee.

Ultimatum Adds To Political Uncertainty

The latest remarks come shortly after Kalyan Banerjee issued a strong warning to the party leadership, saying that Mamata Banerjee would eventually have to choose between her nephew Abhishek Banerjee and long-serving party workers.

His comments have fuelled speculation about growing divisions within the TMC, particularly regarding the role and influence of Abhishek Banerjee in the party's future direction.

TMC Faces Crucial Test

With public disagreements emerging among senior leaders, the Trinamool Congress is confronting one of its most significant internal challenges in recent years. Political observers believe the coming weeks could prove crucial in determining whether the party leadership can contain the growing unrest and restore unity within its ranks.
