New Delhi: In a significant political development, Raghav Chadha resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that seven Rajya Sabha MPs including him have moved.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Chadha said he was stepping away from the party after concluding that it had drifted from its founding principles.

Claim of Rajya Sabha Merger

Chadha further said that two-thirds of AAP’s Rajya Sabha members have decided to merge with the BJP, invoking constitutional provisions that allow such a move without disqualification.
