Bihar: Asaduddin Owaisi of the AIMIM reacted strongly to the controversy over “I Love Muhammad” posters in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur, questioning why expressions of faith should be seen as provocative. The ‘I Love Muhammad’ campaign has seen widespread participation both online and on the streets. In reszponse to this saints in Varanasi have launched the 'I Love Mahadev' campaign. He sarcastically suggested playing the song “Mohabbat Zindabad” from Mughal-e-Azam for critics, and compared the campaign to hypothetical “I Love Mahadev” groups to underline his point that love shouldn’t be criminalised.
