New Delhi: Even as the Cockroach janta party(CJP) holding its first core committee meeting on 5th August, there are intense speculations in political circles that the founder of CJP, Abhijeet Dipke, a dalit  will make his political entry or remain a political pressure group. Though Dipke has denied claims about formally entering politics, calling for public movements instead, there are speculations that he may join politics and turn CJP into a political entiry.
It may be recalled that while leading the recent 36 day protest at Jantar mantar against the NEET paper leak, Dipke said that people have lost their faith in politics and the election system. In such a situation, the country needs a public movement and not a political party.
Alleging misuse of central agencies to tear down parties, Dipke said, "We are seeing how political parties are being split using the ED and CBI. Votes are being deleted in elections. At  this point, when people have lost faith in politics, what will we do by forming a political party" ?
Dipke further claimed that the people were losing faith in the judiciary, as well as the media.
The CJP was created by Dipke as a social media movement in May, a day after a remark by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant using the term "cockroaches" for some youths sparked widespread outrage.in a surprised a way the CJP got huge support from Gen Z and resulted in Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation.
In this background, the core team of the CJP will be holding a two-day strategy meet in Chatrapati Sambajinagar on August 5 and 6,to discuss future course and organisational expansion.
At the meeting ,besides Dipke,Spokesperson sand organisational leadership are expected to discuss and take a call on the movement's future course of action. In a statement posted on its official account on X, the CJP said the members have held talks with "a wide range of stakeholders" to discuss the party's plan of action. The stakeholders included a team of 50 core volunteers who participated in the Jantar Mantar protest.
