A day after Prime Minister Modi addressed a public rally in Madurai, the AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami met Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday night at 10.30 pm. sources said they reviewed the latest political situation and decided to take seat sharing talks soon after the poll schedule is announced.

Seat Sharing Talks to Follow Poll Schedule, AIADMK Sources Say
New Delhi: AIADMK General Secretary and Former Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami of Tamil Nadu met the Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday night and reviewed the latest political situation in view of the assembly polls in the state in April. The meeting assumed significance in view of the Prime Minister Modi rally
in Madurai a day before on Sunday.
Since the meeting was held very late in the night, details were yet to be revealed. Top AIADMK sources indicated that the NDA electoral alliance in the state is yet to take a final shape; the seat sharing discussions would be speeded only after the poll schedule is announced by the Election Commission.
Broadly, sources said that both the leaders reviewed the region wide prospects and strong hopes. AIADMK sources also indicated that the Election Commission, may announce the poll schedule for the Five states any day after March 15.
Meanwhile,, sources said that the AIADMK is sticking to the point that in the event of victory in the Assembly polls, it will form the government of its own. While the BJP leaders in the state have been claiming that it will be called the NDA government,
Sources said that both BJP and AIADMK are closely watching the developments in the ruling DMK alliance, which they said as " still fluid", with Congress is bargaining very hard. The NDA is also watching the actor-turned politician Vijay moves in the days to come.
