Tamil Nadu: Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 continues to draw audiences to theatres even after completing 15 days of its theatrical run. The action entertainer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, maintained a steady performance at the Indian box office, despite entering its third week.
According to the reports, the film collected ₹5.90 crore net in India on Day 15 through 10,313 shows. With this latest addition, its domestic net collection has reached ₹429.55 crore, while the total India gross stands at ₹502.65 crore.
The film has also delivered an impressive worldwide performance, taking its reported global gross collection to ₹765.15 crore.
The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor to the film's domestic earnings on Day 15, collecting ₹3.20 crore. The Telugu version followed with ₹1.40 crore, while the Hindi version added ₹1.10 crore.
The Hindi release, however, has faced distribution challenges in northern India. The reported disagreement between PVR-Inox and the makers over the OTT release window affected the film's theatrical presence across the region.
The film has received largely favourable reactions from audiences and critics, particularly for its action sequences, humour, music and Rajinikanth's screen presence.
