Bengaluru/New Delhi: The tussle for Karnataka’s Chief Ministerial post is escalating everyday and the camps supporting Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar (DKS) are ceating pressure and claiming majority MLAs with them.

However the final decision is to be taken by the Congress High Command in the National Capital. Amid all these political developments both leaders were seen together on stage in an event on Friday.

Just a day earlier, Siddaramaiah asserted that he would complete his full five-year term as CM. Shivakumar too publicly dismissed all speculation of a leadership change, saying he is “not in a hurry”.

DK or Siddaramaiah, this leader has the upper hand for Karnataka CM; he has so many MLAs on his side.

A meeting may soon be held in Delhi to address the turmoil in the Karnataka government. However, the Congress leadership has not officially clarified the situation. Reports suggest that a dispute is ongoing between CM Siddaramaiah and his deputy, DK Shivakumar, over an alleged secret deal to serve as Chief Minister for two and a half years each. However, there is speculation that Siddaramaiah may have the upper hand.
