N Chandrababu Naidu visits Delhi ahead of state budget session

Andhra Prdaesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu arrived in Delhi this evening and will be meeting several Union ministers tomorrow. Though he has not sought any appointment with Prime Minister Modi, the possibility of a meeting between the two is not ruled out.

New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu arrived in Delhi this late evening and will be meeting Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, among others.

Purpose of the Visit

Naidu's visit is primarily focused on seeking central assistance for various ongoing schemes and projects in the State and also to bring to the notice of the Centre the long-pending issues since the partition of the State in 2014.

Significance Ahead of State Budget

Naidu's visit assumes significance in view of the Budget session of Andhra Pradesh starting from 11th February, with the State Budget to be presented on 14th February. The Chief Minister may seek additional assistance for some of the important schemes.
