New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday met Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi at Parliament House and later held discussions with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on party and governance-related matters.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Mahesh Goud, newly elected Rajya Sabha member V. Narender Reddy, and other Members of Parliament from the state.
During the meeting, Revanth Reddy briefed Rahul Gandhi on the political and administrative developments in Telangana, particularly in the context of the ongoing Budget Session of Parliament.
With the Telangana state budget scheduled to be presented on March 20, the Chief Minister outlined his government’s approach, highlighting a balance between welfare initiatives and overall development. He emphasised key focus areas such as infrastructure expansion and strengthening the public health sector.
In a separate meeting with Mallikarjun Kharge, the Chief Minister discussed internal party matters, including the filling of key organisational posts at various levels. The discussions also covered coordination between the state leadership and the central leadership of the party.

Revanth Reddy is also understood to have sought appointments with Union ministers during his visit to the national capital. Sources indicated that he plans to raise demands related to additional central funds for Telangana and take up long-pending issues concerning the state with the Centre.
