The Asia Cup Rising Stars Championship 2025 will feature 8 teams in T20 format. India-A and Pakistan-A, in the same group, face off on 16th November, promising an exciting clash, with the final scheduled on 23rd November.
New tournament after Asia Cup trophy controversy
New Delhi: Despite winning the Asia Cup 2025 title, Team India has not received the trophy yet. The team had refused to accept the trophy from ACC and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and returned from Dubai without the trophy.
The controversy had not yet subsided when the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced a new tournament, the Asia Cup Rising Stars Championship 2025. This new tournament will be played in T20 format, and the A teams of India and Pakistan will face each other.
How Much Will Team India Earn if They Win the Women’s World Cup Final Against South Africa?
A total of 8 teams will participate in this championship, which are divided into two groups:
Group A: India A, Pakistan A, UAE, Oman
Group B: Sri Lanka A, Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A, Hong Kong
Teams from most of the test-playing countries will participate in the tournament. Whereas Oman, UAE, and Hong Kong will enter with their senior teams. The top 2 teams from each group will enter the semi-finals.
Team India won the Asia Cup but didn’t receive the trophy
The tour of India A will start on 14th November. His full schedule is as follows:
November 14: India A vs UAE, 5 pm
November 16: India A vs Pakistan A, 8 pm
November 18: India A vs Oman, 8 pm
The clash between India A and Pakistan A in the group stage will take place on November 16, which can be seen at 8 pm Indian time. This match is being considered as a high-voltage match between the two countries.
After the group stage, the top two teams will play the semi-finals on November 21. The final between the semi-final winners will be played on 23 November. This new tournament will provide a platform for the players to showcase young and inexperienced players.
