New Delhi: India A’s teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi endured another frustrating outing as he failed to convert a bright start into a big score against Sri Lanka A in the fourth match of the ongoing Tri-Nation Series.

The 15-year-old, who has been closely watched for his explosive batting talent, looked in excellent touch after India A were asked to bat first. Sooryavanshi got off to a quick start, scoring 21 off 14 balls, including three boundaries and a six, showcasing his aggressive intent early in the innings.

However, his promising knock was cut short once again as he fell while attempting another attacking stroke. Bowled by Sahan Arachchige, Sooryavanshi went for a drive outside off stump, but the delivery held its line slightly, catching the outside edge. The ball looped towards point, where Wanuja Sahan completed a safe catch.

Despite flashes of brilliance, the young batter’s inability to convert starts into substantial innings remains a concern as India A continue their campaign in the tournament.
