In the final T20I match played on Saturday, Australia won the toss and invited India to bat first. However, only 4.5 overs of play were possible, in which India scored 52 runs.

Openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill provided a quick start, but rain interrupted the match and the match was abandoned. With this, India won the series 2-1.

Indian batsman Abhishek Sharma achieved a significant milestone in this match. He reached 1,000 T20I runs in just 528 balls, the fastest achievement for a player from a full-member team. In this regard, he surpassed India's star batsman Suryakumar Yadav (573 balls) and England's Phil Salt (599 balls).
