India to tour Ireland in June for two-match T20I series; BCCI announces schedule

New Delhi: The Indian men's cricket team will tour Ireland in June this year. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the official schedule for the tour on Saturday. During this tour, Team India will play a two-match T20 International series against Ireland.

Both matches will be played in Belfast

According to the BCCI, both matches of the series will be played in Belfast. The first T20 match between India and Ireland will be played on June 26, while the second match will be played on June 28. Both matches will start at 7:30 PM IST. Significantly, this will be the first time since 2007 that the Indian team will play a match in Belfast.

Previous tours to Ireland

The Indian team has previously toured Ireland in 2018, 2022, and 2023. This will be the fourth time in the last eight years that Team India will play a T20 series in Ireland. As always, this time too, a mix of young and experienced players is expected.

Preparations for England Tour

The Indian team will depart for England immediately after the Ireland tour. A five-match T20I series will be played between India and England on this tour. The tour begins on July 1st, with the final match scheduled for July 11th.

7 T20Is in 16 Days

Interestingly, the Indian team will play a total of seven T20Is in just 16 days. This includes two matches against Ireland and five against England. This schedule is expected to be very busy and challenging for the players.

Full Schedule of England Series

The first T20I against England will be played on July 1st, the second on July 4th, the third on July 7th, the fourth on July 9th, and the fifth on July 11th. This series is expected to be a tough contest between the two teams.
