India’s Unbeaten Run at Stake

Team India, led by skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, has started the World Cup campaign on a strong note, defeating Sri Lanka and Pakistan in their first two matches. The 88-run victory against Pakistan showcased India’s bowling strength, with Renuka Singh and Deepti Sharma starring with the ball.

However, the top-order batting remains an area of concern, with Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana struggling for big scores. The team will look to maintain its unbeaten streak and secure an early qualification advantage for the semi-finals.

South Africa Seek Consistency

On the other hand, South Africa, led by Laura Wolvaardt, have had a mixed start to the tournament. After suffering a heavy 10-wicket defeat to England, they bounced back impressively with a six-wicket win over New Zealand, powered by a blazing century from Tazmin Brits.

The Proteas’ bowling attack, featuring the experienced Marizanne Kapp and Ayabonga Khaka, remains one of their biggest strengths. A win today would boost their chances of staying in contention for the knockout stages.
