Dubai: The Asia Cup 2025 is now in its final stages. On 26th September, the final Super 4 match between India and Sri Lanka was played. The result of this match was decided through a interesting super over. The Indian team won the Super Over. Now, India will face Pakistan in the final on 28th September. Following the victory over Sri Lanka, captain Suryakumar Yadav made an important statement. He revealed his plans a day before the final.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav made an important statement after the victory over Sri Lanka. He said that it felt like a final, and after a poor performance in the first half, the players showed great enthusiasm in the second innings.

He said, "I told the players to maintain their energy and see where we go. It was good to see such a start in batting and to see players like Sanju and Tilak in rhythm. And it was also good to see players like Sanju, who don't open, taking on this responsibility and Tilak's confidence."

He further stated that some players had severe cramps today, and that tomorrow we will take a recovery day and perform as we did today. Everyone got what they wanted (from the group stage) and we are very happy to have reached the final. Surya will take a recovery day before the final and prepare himself for the final.

Batting first, India scored 202 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma scored 61 runs in 31 balls for India, while Tilak Verma scored 29 runs in 34 balls and Sanju Samson scored 39 runs in 23 balls. In reply, Sri Lanka also scored 202 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs, forcing a draw.

In the Super Over, Sri Lanka, batting first, scored 2 runs, in response to which India won the match by scoring 3 runs on the first ball. India remains undefeated in the 6 matches played so far in the Asia Cup 2025.
