Swati Singh flies India’s flag high at International Badminton Tournament, wins Gold, Silver and Bronze

Jalaun: Swati Singh, the differently abled daughter of village Amita of Konch tehsil of Jalaun district, has brought laurels to India by performing brilliantly in the Uganda International Badminton Tournament-2025 held in Kampala, Uganda. She has increased the prestige of the district and the state by winning gold, silver, and bronze medals in the competition.

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, Swati Singh, a student of Dr. Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow, won silver in the women's singles SL-5 category, gold in the women's doubles SU-5 category, and bronze in mixed doubles. This competition was held from July 1 to July 6, in which differently abled players from more than 50 countries participated.

Won a gold medal in the final match

In fact, in the final match held on July 6, Swati performed excellently and won the gold medal and waved the tricolor with pride. This historic achievement of Swati brought a wave of happiness in the Jalaun district. Administrative officers, teachers, public representatives, and social workers have congratulated Swati.

Parents expressed pride

Swati Singh's father, Kamlesh Kumar, and mother, Shakuntala Devi, expressed pride in their daughter's achievement and said that her hard work has paid off. Swati's success proves that no physical limitation can come in the way of self-confidence and hard work.

Swati expressed gratitude

Swati Singh said on the phone that she was provided assistance by District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey for a badminton kit and air travel ticket for participating in the tournament, for which she expresses gratitude. Let us tell you that this achievement of Swati has brought glory not only to Jalaun district but to the entire Uttar Pradesh. There is an atmosphere of happiness in the entire area due to her victory.

Disability did not become helplessness

Swati Singh said that being disabled is not a weakness. Every dream can be realized with self-confidence and hard work. I want every disabled youth like me to strive for their dreams. Today Swati Singh has become an inspiration not only for her family but also for the entire Jalaun district and Uttar Pradesh.
