New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, while addressing the media here today, questioned the timing of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons. He alleged that the BJP is trying to prevent him from campaigning for Rajya Sabha polls.

Kejriwal termed ED summons as illegal, stating that the Agency is yet to respond to his earlier letters in which he explained in detail why the ED summons is illegal.

Delhi CM, refuting the allegations regarding excise policy, said that the BJP is harassing all those who refuse to join it.

On Wednesday, Kejriwal skipped the third summons by the ED about the Delhi excise policy case. He cited Rajya Sabha polls, Republic Day preparations, and the agency's "non-disclosure and non-response approach" as reasons for not appearing before it.

In a letter to the ED, the AAP leader also mentioned that he would be "happy to answer" any questionnaire sent by them. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claimed that the summonses were sent with the intention to arrest him. (with Agency inputs)
