Two Jawans Killed
Besides, two security personnel have also been martyred in the gunfight, the police added.
According to Bastar Police officials, the encounter broke out in the forests on Sunday morning.
"Total 31 Naxalites, 2 security personnel killed in encounter in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur, the police said.
The jawans killed in the encounter were from the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Special Task Force (STF) – state-level forces that specialise in anti-Maoist operations, confirmed Inspector General of Police for Bastar Range, Sundarraj P.
Two Jawans Injured
