New Delhi: Congress leader Pawan Khera has approached the Supreme Court against his arrest at the IGI Airport over several FIRs lodged against him for his alleged remarks against Prime Minister Modi.

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the hearing in the Supreme Court is underway.

Senior Advocate AM Singhvi mentioned a plea apprising the court about the arrest of Pawan Khera. Singhvi seeks interim relief for Khera and consolidation of FIR since several are being registered across the country.

The SC has agreed to hear the plea today. Khera told the Supreme Court that several FIRs have been lodged against him in Varanasi, Lucknow and Assam for his comments against Prime Minister Modi.

He was deboarded from the plane on his way to Raipur and the Assam Police is at the airport to take him into custody.
