A new hope for jail inmates to pursue their education

Vadodara / 11 March 2016. The government is taking steps towards the development of jails by giving the jail inmates an opportunity to continue their education and to give their examination on the premises of Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara jails for their Class 10th and 12th board exams under the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Board Exam (GSHSBE).

The examinations began from March 8 and had a total of 100 jail inmates appearing for the examination. 

Security measures have been taken on the jail premises by providing special arrangements including CCTV Cameras for the jail inmates who are appearing from jails in Vadodara, Chotta Udeypur and Bharruch for the examination.
