Thiruvananthapuram/ 11 July 2016. Kerala High Court granted bail to all 43 accused in the Puttingal temple fire tragedy that led to the death of 108 and injured over 300 earlier this year in April on Monday.
The fireworks occurred during an unauthorized display of crackers where sparks from the crackers fell in a room that stored firecrackers triggering explosions.
The accident at the 100-year-old Puttingal Devi Temple complex pointed fingers at the temple authorities who allowed use of fire crackers without proper permission.
However, a week after the fire tragedy the temple had open for darshan.
