Maha: Goa-Mumbai Highway Accident: 9 Killed In Car-Truck Collision In Raigad

Nine people, including a child and 3 women, were killed after a car collided with a truck on the Goa-Mumbai highway in Raigad district. Read on for details:

Mumbai: Nine people, including a child and 3 women, were killed after a car collided with a truck on the Goa-Mumbai highway in Raigad district. 

According to police, the accident took place in the morning near Mangaon in  Raigad district, about 130 km from Mumbai.

The deceased, all of them relatives, were residents of Hedvi village in Ratnagiri district's Guhagar town, according to senior police officer Somnath Gharge. While the car was headed to Guhagar, the truck was on its way to Mumbai.

Further investigation is underway.
