Gujarat: 70 IPS/SPS officers shifted; Ahmedabad gets new top cop
The Gujarat government has transferred 70 Indian Police Service officers, including Vadodara commissioner Shamsher Singh and Prem Vir Singh of the Crime Branch in Ahmedabad. Read further on Dynamite News:
Gandhinagar: In a major reshuffle of IPS officers, the state government on Thursday ordered 70 transfers with Ahmedabad and Vadodara getting new police commissioners.
Following is the list:
(1) Dr. Shamsher Singh, IPS (GJ:1991), Commissioner of Police, Vadodara City is transferred and appointed on ex-cadre post of Director General of Police (Law and Order), Gandhinagar by upgrading cadre post in Additional Director General of Police Grade to ex-cadre post in Director General of Police Grade vice Shri Narasimha N. Komar (GJ:1996) transferred.
(2) Gyanender Singh Malik, IPS (GJ:1993), Additional Director General of Police is appointed on vacant cadre post of Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad City by downgrading ex-cadre post in Director General of Police Grade to cadre post in Additional Director General of Police Grade.
(3) Dr. Neeraj Gotru, IPS (GJ:1993), Director, Civil Defence and Commandant General, Home Guards, Ahmedabad is transferred and appointed on vacant cadre post of Additional Director General of Police (Training), Gandhinagar by downgrading ex-cadre post of Director General of Police (Training), Gandhinagar to cadre post in Additional Director General of Police (Training), Gandhinagar.
