Bengaluru: Five people were killed and 10 were injured in an accident that took place in the Kalaburagi district on Saturday.
The incident occurred near Nelogi cross when a speeding passenger bus collided with a parked truck.
The deceased have been identified as residents of the Bagalkote district.
The injured passengers were transferred to a nearby hospital in Kalaburagi.
Police have registered a case at Nelogi police station, said Kalaburagi police.
According to the information, more than 26 people were travelling in a vehicle at the time of the accident.
The bus was on its way to Khaja Bandenawaz Dargah in Kalaburagi from Bagalkot to attend a religious function.
