Senior IAS Officer Keshav Chandra named Chairman of NDMC

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday appointed Senior IAS officer Keshav Chandra as the Chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). 

Keshav Chandra is a 1995-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer. He has also served as the Chief Secretary of the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Amit Yadav's (IAS: 1991: UT) appointment as OSD in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment left the post of Chairman, NDMC, vacant last month. Later, Naresh Kumar, former Chief Secretary of Delhi, was overseeing the role temporarily. Now, Keshav Chandra has been appointed as the permanent Chairman.
