Lok Sabha Poll Schedule: Election in 7 phases from 19 April to 01 June 2024; Vote counting on 4 June

New Delhi: The Election Commission today declared the schedule of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar in a Press Conference in Vigyan Bhawan announced that Lok Sabha poll will be held in 7 phases from 19 April to 01 June 2024, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Polling dates for 7 phases are:
19 April, 26 April, 7 May, 13 May, 20 May, 25 May and 01 June.

The newly appointed Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Dr Sukhbir Singh Sandhu were also there in the Press Conference. 

Alongwith the Lok Sabha, polling will also be held for four state assemblies, namely Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Arunachal Pradessh and Sikkim besides 26 assembly bypolls.

The counting of votes will take place on 4 June.

With the announcement of poll dates, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force in the country.
