Lucknow: The father of Saifullah, the slain ISIS terror accused, has refused to accept his son's body, alleging foul play in the encounter carried out by Uttar Pradesh police and the Anti-Terrorism Squad on Tuesday.


"Two and half months back he (Saifullah) left home after I hit him for not working. He called last Monday saying he's going to Saudi. I don't believe any of these accusations, they are all false. Saifullah was a well-behaved person; he performed namaz five times a day. We did not expect this," said Sartaj, Saifulla's father.

Meanwhile, the father of terror suspect Imran and Faisal, who were arrested in Kanpur today also, denied the charges against them.


"Faisal took care of a shop and Imran is married, has a daughter too. Danish is also my son, he had left home as I scolded him for not working," he said.

The operation was carried out by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) who had also made Saifullah speak to his brother, over the phone and asked him to surrender.


The cops tried to smoke him out by fire tear gas andchilli bombs inside the house but this didn'tmaterialise. After which the cops claim to have taken the drastic step of killing him.


The cops have found several arms and ammunitions, pistols, some papers, ISIS flag and many other materials from the spot. The cops have also claimed that the accused were a part of ISIS Khorasan module, a terror outfit associated with Al Qaeda. (ANI)
