Imphal: Seventeen extremist belonging to different banned militants group were arrested from four districts in the past 24 hours, Manipur police said on Friday.
According to the police, of the arrested militants, 13 are associated to the banned Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) outfit. They were arrested from Moirang Kiyam Leikai area of Bishnupur district on Thursday.
Dozens of cartridges, camouflage uniforms and other intimating items were also recovered from their possession.
Besides, a militant of the banned United National Liberation Front (P) was held from Imphal East district, police said. (With Agency Inputs)
