Rupee climbs 28 paise against dollar in early trade
Rupee strengthened by 28 paise to 65.13 against the dollar in early trade on Monday. In the meantime, the benchmark BSE Sensex fell by 96.80 points, or 0.32 per cent, at 29,324.60 in early trade.
Mumbai: Rupee strengthened by 28 paise to 65.13 against the dollar in early trade on Monday due to increased selling of the US currency by banks and exporters.
On Friday, the rupee had gained 11 paise to end at 65.41 against the US dollar on fresh bouts of dollar selling by exporters and banks.
In the meantime, the benchmark BSE Sensex fell by 96.80 points, or 0.32 per cent, at 29,324.60 in early trade. (PTI)
