SC grants interim protection to Ranveer Allahbadia from arrest

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted interim protection from arrest to influencer Ranveer Allahbadia in a case related to his offensive remarks on the YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent’. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, a bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh slammed the YouTuber over his vulgar comment.

"There is something dirty in his mind which has been vomited on the OTT Show," the bench said. 

Senior advocate Abhinav Chandrachud, who was appearing for Allahbadia, said the influences be protected from any coercive action and that Allahbadia was  receiving death threats. 

'Even Society Feel Ashamed'
Words you have made will make daughters, sisters, parents and even society feel ashamed, the apex court said while hearing the YouTuber's plea on multiple FIRs launched against the podcaster. 

The apex court also directed Ranveer Allahbadia to submit passport at Thane Police Station and said he shall not leave India without court's prior nod.
