Maharajganj: PWD and contractor on backfoot after Dynamite News exposed their false claim of 'road completion' in UP

Maharajganj: The Public Works Department (PWD) had assigned the work of construction of about 12 km Maharajganj bypass from Shikarpur to Sinduria on 5 June 2021 at the cost of about Rs.2600 lac. The construction of road was still in progress but the contractor put up a 'Full Road Constructed' board on 4 April 2022. In fact by this time only half of the road was completed. 

After the Dynamite News uncovered this false claim, everyone was taken aback and there was outrage in PWD and other concerned departments. As a result, 'Full Road Constructed' board was removed overnight. 

After this exposition by Dynamite News, the connivance between the PWD and the contractors has once again come to the fore.
