Pune: Veteran film and television star Vikram Gokhale passed away on Saturday in Pune. He was 77.

Vikram Gokhale was admitted to the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune a few days ago. However, his health started deteriorating and he breathed his last on Saturday.

A veteran of Hindi and Marathi cinema, he had played memorable roles in the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer 'Agneepath' and the 1999 film 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' starring Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
