New Delhi: Report of Joint Committee of Parliament on Waqf (Amendment) Bill, which was tabled today, has been accepted in the Rajya Sabha amid uproar from Opposition, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge called the Joint Parliamentary Committee report 'unconstitutional' and said they won't accept it.

'Dissent Notes Removed'
Opposition MPs, including Medha Kulkarni, claimed that portions of dissent notes submitted by them were removed.

Kharge demanded that the report be sent back to the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC).

Many Opposition MPs have given descent notes against this particular bill. These descent notes have not been included. This is censorship by the Government. This is an attempt to suppress the voice of the Opposition," TMC Rajya Sabha MP Sagarika Ghose said on Waqf Bill Report.
