Light rain is expected in Delhi today with the weather department predicting that the maximum temperature is likely to be around 33 degrees Celsius.

New Delhi: Light rain is expected in Delhi today with the weather department predicting that the maximum temperature is likely to be around 33 degrees Celsius.

The Indian Meteorological Department ( IMD) also forecast moderate rain in the city over the next few days. "Light to moderate rainfall is on the forecast from Sept 9 to Sept 14, and thundershowers may occur in the next week,” the Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Wednesday.

“The relative humidity recorded at 0830 hrs was 84 per cent," it added. The maximum temperature on Wednesday is likely to settle around 33 degrees, according to the IMD. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 33.6 degree Celsius.

"Surface winds were moving towards South- Northeasterly with a speed of nearly 12.9 kilometres per hour," said the IMD. Meanwhile, the air quality index in the national capital remains in the moderate category. (UNI)
