New Delhi: A start-up NeoSapien has alleged that AI-powered wearable devices developed by the company were stolen from its exhibition space at Bharat Mandapam, even as security personnel were present at the venue on Monday (February 16).

The company’s Co-Founder and CEO described the incident as “extremely disappointing,” claiming the devices went missing while under official security watch.

Dhananjay Yadav, co-founder and CEO of Bengaluru-based firm NeoSapien, on Tuesday expressed frustration over the alleged theft of the company’s AI-powered wearables from its booth at Bharat Mandapam.

In a post on X, Yadav said the start-up had incurred significant expenses on travel, accommodation, logistics and the exhibition booth, only to see its devices “disappear inside a high-security zone.”

Questioning how the incident could occur if only security personnel and authorised officials had access, he termed the episode “extremely disappointing” and raised concerns over possible security lapses at the venue.
