The company is building 1 lakh 4G sites nationwide, using technology made in India. This is a major step in supporting the Digital India initiative.

It's important to mention that while private telecom providers are offering 5G services and OTT apps, BSNL is still providing only 4G services.

This initiative comes as Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has set a target for BSNL to boost its mobile services by 50% in the next year. All units have also been asked to grow enterprise services by 25-30% and fixed line services by 15-20%.

Why Company Introduced This Plan

Usually, when we talk about a telecom offer, the focus is on discounts, data, and calling. But BSNL's plan is different because it's the first time the company is testing an Indian-made 4G network for the general public.

BSNL has created, built, and set up its 4G network fully under the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' mission. This technology was made by Indian engineers and industry, which puts India in a group of countries that have their own telecom systems.

BSNL's top leader, A Robert J Ravi, said this isn't just a plan, but an opportunity to experience India's homegrown network. He says any user who tries it will notice the difference.
