This move comes at a time when controversy is raging in several countries regarding X and its AI tool, Grok. It is believed that through this initiative, X aims to promote quality content on its platform.
X has clearly stated that it wants to reinstate writing and ideas as its hallmark in 2026. According to the company, only articles that inspire discussion and impact society and culture will receive this significant prize. This competition is considered a golden opportunity for journalists, writers, thought leaders, and serious content creators.

The contest began on January 16, at 2:00 PM (PT) and run until January 28, 2026, at 11:59 PM (PT). Currently, only users in the United States can participate. The company has also clarified that similar opportunities may be opened to other countries in the future.

To participate in this contest, articles must be completely original and at least 1,000 words long. Articles will be evaluated based on impressions and engagement on X's Verified Home Timeline. This means that the more people an article reaches and generates discussion, the greater the chance of winning.
X has set strict rules. Articles must not contain any hate speech, fraud, misleading information, obscene content, or defamation of any individual or company. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Additionally, articles written using AI or automated tools may also be disqualified.
