In the wake of the cyclone Yaas, that left a trail of destruction in Odisha, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), along with state authorities and army, is working to rescue people who have been stranded due to a surge in water levels and uprooted trees.
Cyclone Yaas is currently crossing the Odisha border south of Balasore and will reach Jharkhand on Thursday morning, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today.
The landfall process of very severe cyclonic storm YAAS has commenced at 9 AM on the north of Dhamra and south of the Balasore coast in Odisha.
