A powerful explosion at a mosque in Pakistan’s Kohat during Friday prayers left several people dead and dozens injured. Rescue teams rushed to the scene as authorities began investigating the attack.
The incident is reported to have occurred in China’s Hunan province. Following the blast, firefighters, rescue personnel, and medical staff were deployed to the scene.
Odapada tehsildar and Motanga police have rushed to the site. The investigation is going on to determine whether explosive materials used for blasting were still there at the site.
The series of explosions on the school campus caused panic. Reports indicate the blasts occurred at a mosque located on the campus of a government high school, SMA 27, located inside a naval compound in the Kelapa Gading area of North Jakarta.
Sonora state Governor Alfonso Durazo said in a video message that many of the deceased were minors. He has ordered a transparent investigation to determine the cause of the explosion and punish those responsible.
