Arvind Kejriwal announced his support to Reddy and appealed to all the MPs to vote for him. He even said that he has also asked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs to vote in favor of Reddy.
On Monday too about 300 India bloc MPs including LoP Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Waynad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Samajwadi Party Supremo Akhilesh Yadav staged a march to Election Commission Office against SIR and ‘Vote Chori’. However they were detained by the Delhi Police midway. Later they all were released.
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said, “The fact is that he cannot talk. The truth is before the country. This is not a political fight. This is a fight to save the Constitution. This is a fight of one man, one vote. We want a clean voter list.”
Before INDIA bloc leaders began their march to the Election Commission of India, they gathered at the Makar Dwar of the Parliament and sang the National Anthem.
Rahul Gandhi recently claimed that about 70 to 80 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were manipulated. He said, “The Prime Minister won with a very narrow majority, and if even 15 seats had been properly held, he would not have become Prime Minister.”
INDIA bloc parties are protesting at the Makkar Dawar in Parliament demanding a discussion in both Houses on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar.
The protest by the MPs of the INDIA bloc has been continuing against the voter roll revision in Bihar since the commencement of the Monsoon Session on 21 July both in and outside of Parliament.
