In a statement issued on Monday, the Surrey Police Service identified the accused as Harjot Singh (21), Taranveer Singh (19), and Dayajit Singh Billing (21). Each has been charged with one count of discharging a firearm under Section 244.2(1)(a) of the Canadian Criminal Code.

In an effort to evacuate Indian nationals in Afghanistan after the Taliban took over the capital city Kabul, an Indian Air Force (IAF) C-130J transport aircraft took off from Kabul with over 85 Indians, informed official sources on Saturday.
