Shuttler Parupalli Kashyap defeated Denmark’s Jan O Jorgensen 24-22, 21-8 in a quarter-final match of the Korea Open here on Friday.
Shuttler PV Sindhu crashed out of the Korea Open on Wednesday, losing her first-round match against USA’s Beiwen Zhang. The reigning world champion Sindhu dominated the first game, winning it 21-7.
Sindhu, who is seeded fourth in the tournament, will have to be at her menacing best to get through world No. 19 Minatsu Mitani in the opening round of the women’s singles event.
