The four-member crew – Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen – crossed the historic threshold six days into their mission. They travelled 248,655 miles from Earth and eventually reached a maximum distance of about 252,756 miles.
NASA’s Artemis II mission carries four astronauts on a historic journey around the Moon, marking the first human venture beyond low Earth orbit since Apollo. The mission will test systems, conduct science, and prepare for future lunar landings.
These spacewalks will be carried out to strengthen the Station’s power system, prepare for the installation of new solar panels, and perform necessary technical repairs.
A team led by astronomer Eli Visbal provided evidence of POP-III stars, with the JWST’s infrared spectrum revealing that these stars emitted intense ultraviolet light, approximately 100 times the mass of the Sun.
Officials described this as China’s first emergency launch of this kind, completed in 16 days because the rocket and spacecraft were already standing by at the launch centre, part of China’s rule requiring a backup craft ready at all times.
An astronomer named Ray’s Astrophotography took the latest photo of the comet. In the center is the comet’s bright core, which is shining very brightly. But five bright spots surround it, making it appear as if five objects are rotating around the center.
NGC 7456 can be seen in the constellation Grus i.e. Crane. In the pictures taken from the Hubble telescope, a bright band is seen in its middle, which tells how the stars were formed here in the first place.
This is a joint Earth-observation satellite which will scan the entire globe and provide high-resolution all-weather imagery non stop across a 242 km swath.
