Pakistani troops shelled forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, officials said.
Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire on Sunday, resorting to intense mortar shelling and firing of small arms on forward posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesman said.
A Special Police Officer (SPO) was injured in shelling by Pakistani troops in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, officials said.
In retaliation to an earlier ceasefire violation, the Indian Army soldiers crossed over the Line of Control (LoC) to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on Tuesday and killed three Pakistani troops, as per Intelligence sources.
